What is Emergency Transmission Service (ETS)?

ETS is a contingency service that allows you to submit to Bacs.

ETS submits credit and debit instructions to Bacs when you can't. 


Who should use ETS?

Organisations that want the security of a backup Bacs-submission system. In particular, Direct Debit service users that need a contingency to comply with the Direct Debit scheme rules.



What does ETS do?

ETS uses Direct Debit Limited's Pay Direct™™ bureau service to:

  • Submit Direct Debit and Direct Credit files to Bacs
  • Send submission reports back to you
  • Send Bacs reports back to you
